Abstract
This book is about a girl with anorexia. At the beginning she was just on a "diet." All of her friends were doing it so she did too. She didn't think anything was wrong. Her parents noticed she wasn't eating and took her to the doctor. Lori refused to eat anything. Her doctor gave her specific orders on what to eat and drink but she wouldn't. They took her to a psychologist, but Lori still wouldn't eat. She was losing so much weight she had to go to the hospital. She had to weigh 60 pound before she could leave. She still refused to eat. She thought the only way to get out was to kill herself, so that’s what she tried. After a long battle with the doctors Lori got tired of not eating. She didn't even recognize herself in the mirror. She had become so thin she looked like a stick figure, she decided to start eating again. (160)
